South Dakota Tobacco-Free Kids Network Coalition (54 members) are
the advocates behind the recent passage of the South Dakota
comprehensive Smoke-Free Law, including Casinos and other Gaming
facilities. The law also makes Military/Fraternal and other so-called
"private clubs" smoke-free.
Another Award for the South Dakota smoke-free law passage is
presented to the Governor of South Dakota, The Honorable Mike
Rounds, in recognition for his signing of the law as put together by the
commendable bipartisan action of the South Dakota Legislature. The

Both awards will be presented to highly respected Navajo Physician, Dr. Patricia
Nez Henderson, Vice President of the Black Hills Center for American Indian
Health of Rapid City, South Dakota, one of the 54 Coalition Network members.
They will be taken by her directly from the NCTOH Conference to South Dakota
after the Conference.
Dr Henderson is also a key member of "Team Navajo" working with Navajo
Nation citizens for the passage of the comprehensive Navajo Nation Commercial
Tobacco Free Act of 2009.
